Close to town, the beach & private!

We loved Villa Espavel! Stayed in Villa Jardin for 5 nights, and couldn't have been happier. A lovely spot in Samara - close to everything and walkable! Thanks for such a memorable stay!!

Fantastic place for a family holiday

My family and I spent 3 weeks at Villas Espavel in August. We loved the peaceful, tropical surroundings and the kids enjoyed swimming in the pool everyday. The villa was clean and well equipt and staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is also great and we loved the fact we could easily walk/bike into town or the beach. I would definitely recommend it!

We already decided to go back to Villas Espavel next year

Three friends and I just spent a week at Villas Espavel, and it was wonderful. Our rooms were clean and comfy, with excellent amenities. We arranged to rent bicycles from a vendor just around the corner, thanks to a recommendation from Villas Espavel, and that was a great idea. With bikes, the beach and the town are five easy minutes away. Mercy and Canuche (owners) helped us to book a tour to see nesting turtles, a river-kayak tour, and a dolphin tour, all of which were fun and fascinating (on the dolphin tour, we also saw manta rays leaping out of the water). This is a great place for friends, family, kids, snorkling, swimming, boogie-boarding... Having a kitchen was great, as we could make coffee with pastries from one of the local bakeries, as well as making simple meals for dinner or lunch--when we could persuade ourselves not to eat at the terrific local restaurants. The on-site pool is another plus. We already decided to go back to Villas Espavel next year.

We're an active family with a 11 year old boy and 8 year old girl. Both Mercy & Canuche have worked in sustainable building in the Seattle Area before becoming your happiness engineers providing you with delight and fun in Samara, Costa Rica at Villas Espavel and in Seattle, Washington at Plum Modern. We live in Leavenworth, Washington. When we aren't helping guests create wonderful vacations, we love to cook, eat local food and spend time outside with friends and family. We are beekeepers, avid gardeners, hikers and campers. When the weather is warm we love to SUP, surf, boogie and snorkel. When the white stuff falls you'll find us on skis enjoying downhill, X-country or skate terrain. We have traveled much of the world, some of our favorite places are Costa Rica, Mexico, Turkey, Syria and Scandinavia. We love hosting people and sharing the beauty of Costa Rica and Seattle.
